Mint secures first strategic Uniden order for Australia and New Zealand

Wednesday, 13 August 2008, Sydney: Mint Trading Pty Limited, subsidiary of listed portable technology company Mint Wireless Limited (ASX:MNW), today announced it has secured an order to supply flash memory products to global electronics brand, Uniden. The order is part of an agreement to pre-bundle Mint's SD cards with all Uniden GPS units in Australia and New Zealand. Mint will also produce Uniden's SD card retail packs that enable legacy GPS models to be upgraded with new maps pre-loaded onto the SD cards.

This agreement comes off the back of rigorous testing by Uniden's research and development team in Japan, which began prior to Mint's ASX listing. Future opportunities may also exist to supply the SD cards to Uniden worldwide as well as provide Uniden with other key products from Mint's current portable technology portfolio.

Mint Wireless Executive Director, Andrew Teoh, said: "Mint's relationship with electronics innovator, Uniden, is an endorsement of our product strategy to date. Mint is being recognised by partners and retailers as a credible supplier of quality products in the consumer electronics industry. We will continue to work closely with Uniden to provide them with a broad range of key products."

Kuni Ishii, Sales Director, Uniden said: "We're very pleased to find a distributor of quality products, congruent with our needs. We believe our synergistic relationship with Mint will be a valuable and long-term partnership."
