Sydney, Australia, 31/07/08: Mint Trading Pty Limited, subsidiary of listed portable technology company Mint Wireless Limited (ASX:MNW), today unveiled the world's smallest commercially available pocket projector manufactured by Aiptek. This follows on from the recent announcement that Mint Trading is now the exclusive distributor of Aiptek products in Australia and New Zealand.
The Aiptek V10 pocket projector will be available in retail outlets nationwide during September 2008. Measuring only 125 x 55 x 23mm (1cm longer than an iPhone) it projects a range of multimedia up to 50" in size from 1.8m away.
With a suggested retail price of $649 (inc gst) at launch, the V10 is designed to appeal to both corporate and home users that value ease and convenience combined with good quality features.
Alex Teoh, CEO, Mint Wireless commented: "The V10 pocket projector has achieved significant interest amongst some of Australia's largest retailers and we are discussing commercial arrangements with retailers now. We expect sales of the pocket projector to be high, particularly as we approach the Christmas period. There is nothing like the pocket projector on the market today - it is a true hybrid product that can be used for both business and leisure. Given the success of devices such as the iPhone, we expect the projector will fit well into this market."
"Our exclusive distribution agreement with Aiptek is gaining traction and the additional products in our suite are performing well. We are confident that as we grow our sales channels and continue to cultivate relationships with market-leading retailers, we will see significant new revenue streams come online," Mr. Teoh added.
Mint Trading Pty Ltd is the exclusive distributor of Aiptek's range of pocket projectors, DV cameras, graphics tablets and digital photo frames.
